Despite the overwhelming excitement of Christmas, our most vulnerable South Australian families are still living in debilitating poverty the day after; unable to provide the essentials they need to care for their children.
Treasure Boxes provides a critical service supporting SA’s most vulnerable babies, kids, teens, and their families. The families we help struggle every day of the year, therefore it’s vital we provide them with items that are useful all year round – not just on Christmas Day.
So far this year, we have supported 515 families including 1,171 South Australian babies, kids, and teens.
There are more than 20,000 children in South Australia living under the poverty line, so we have a lot more work to do to realise our mission of reducing the number of kids living in poverty in SA.
