Support Treasure Boxes in our infancy, to help us establish our roots and grow our service.
Together we can ensure all babies and children receive the care and essentials they need to thrive.

2019 was our biggest year so far, seeing the demand for our service grow significantly.

2020 threw us challenges we had never faced before (as with the rest of the world), but we used this to our advantage: buckling down to improve our operations so we can start the new year stronger than ever.

We need community support in 2021 to ensure we can continue to expand our service to meet current and future needs.

Our mums have been able to use funds in other ways, to pay off debts or purchase other essentials. Huge lift emotionally to know people have donated, sorted and packed especially for them. Our mums have been amazed at the quality of items received. We love seeing the babies and children in warm, safe beds, appropriate car seats and new clothes!

2 and a half years ago on my birthday during the hardest year of my life, a lovely lady turned up with 2 boxes for my little treasures. It blew me away how generous [Treasure Boxes] is and I hope you realise years can go by but the people you help will never forget your kindness.

When a family becomes homeless, they have almost always lost at least some of their possessions, sometimes all. Having Treasure Boxes provide what clients need for their children benefits the child directly, but for the parent to some extent it decreases the guilt they carry and takes away one of an overwhelming number of obstacles they face in building a future for their family.

We experienced a decrease in numbers in 2020 due to the pandemic: we experienced a 4-week closure, community agencies closed and support workers worked remotely (meaning many had reduced client contact, or were unable to collect packages from us.)

the issue

There are currently 22,350 children living in severe disadvantage in South Australia.

We want to support 5,000 children in 2020 and help countless more in the years following.

Support Treasure Boxes by sponsoring a box!

In 2020 we sent out over 7,000 treasure boxes. Each box contains a supply of clothing, toys, linen, household items or is a large item such as a cot or pram.

Each box costs us an average of $35 to provide.

This price takes into account purchasing new items where donations don’t meet demand, securing our warehouse to store everything, boxes and packaging to safely store and deliver our packages, and minimal staff members to maintain and grow our service.
